Relfydess vs Botox: What's the Difference and HOw Long Does it Last?

You’ve probably heard of Botox - most people have by now. But Botox is just one brand of anti-wrinkle injection. The broader category is called neuromodulators, and they all work on the same principle: using purified botulinum toxin type A to temporarily relax the muscles responsible for lines and wrinkles caused by repeated facial movement. Think frown lines, crow’s feet, and forehead creases.

High purity formulation: Relfydess uses PEARL™ technology - meaning it contains only the active neurotoxin molecule, without the complexing proteins and certain additives found in older formulations.

WHAT DOES TREATMENT INVOLVE?

Like all anti-wrinkle injections, Relfydess is given via a series of small injections into the target area - you’ll feel little more than a light pinch. The goal isn’t to freeze your face. It’s to soften lines and reduce habitual muscle movement so you look fresher, more relaxed, and completely like yourself.

WHEN WILL YOU SEE RESULTS?

Effects typically begin to emerge within a few days, with full results usually visible by two weeks. For many patients, results last around six months - though this varies depending on the individual, the area treated, and your muscle activity.

WHAT ABOUT SIDE EFFECTS?

Side effects are generally mild and temporary, and may include:

Some tenderness at the injection site

In rare cases, slight eyelid drooping can occur due to natural migration of the solution -however, this resolves on its own within a few weeks, and there are things we can do to help in the meantime.
