WHAT IS HAYTOX?

Haytox is a treatment option for people struggling with hayfever, aka allergic rhinitis, and ongoing sinus irritation sometimes caused by pollen, pet dander or mould. It works inside the nose to help settle inflammation and the overactive responses that contribute to allergy symptoms, such as:

• Frequent sneezing

• A runny or blocked nose

• Itchy, watery, or red eyes

• Post-nasal drip

• Reduced sense of smell or taste

• Nasal congestion

You might be a good candidate if you have seasonal or persistent sinus-related issues. Would like a longer-lasting treatment than sprays and antihistamines.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Haytox is delivered using a fine nasal spray applied to the lining of the nose. This approach helps quiet the nerve activity involved in triggering allergy symptoms.

After treatment, we recommend avoiding nasal sprays for 24-48 hours. If you normally use antihistamines, these can be continued for 7 days following your appointment.

The application itself takes only a few minutes, however, appointments are booked for 30 minutes with a 15-minute buffer afterwards to allow time for consultation and assessment.

RESULTS

Many people begin to feel improvement within 3-7 days and a full effect around 2 weeks.

Results usually last 8–12 weeks.

POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS

Side effects are uncommon and usually mild. These may include:

• A stuffy feeling

• Temporary nasal dripping

• A dry, crusty sensation inside the nose salty taste

• Mild nose or throat irritation

These effects generally settle quickly on their own.

Haytox is not recommended if you are:

• Pregnant or breastfeeding

• Allergic to botulinum toxin

• Living with certain neuromuscular conditions
